Mado Lamotte, a local journalist, drag queen, clown and personality "extra-ordinaire" is an entrepreneur. Mado welcomes you into her boudoir, serves you drinks and entertains you like nobody's business. In French with a smattering of English, but it won't matter.....you will understand. Take a walk on the wild side - Montreal has an area often overlooked by tourists. OK, I understand that not everyone will be interested but the Gay Village (METRO Beaudry) has something for everyone. There are lots of bars/clubs and restaurants but there are other commerces as well. Relax, have a cafe au lait at the Second Cup and watch the people go by. Quebec society is very open and tolerant and you will get a good idea of Montreal dynamics. Village boundaries - Sainte-Catherine Street between Saint-Hubert Street and Papineau Street. Have fun!
