Really off, Montreal
About 115 buildings are connected by pedestrian passageways; for a total lengh of 31km.
Every public building include at least a work of art.
Montreal has been declared a Unesco city of design in 2007.
During Montreal en Lumieres (lights) festival, even if it is quite cold outside, you may walk during a
whole day passing by some of the work of art.
A great day for every body.
Every year during the first part of march.
the montreal tam tam's started about 18 years ago..the seguin brothers (Who are renowned percussionist) used to hang out on Sundays with their tam tams and a following of friends, lovers, family; a crowd of no more than 20 or so would hang out dance smoke whatever..now the tam tams are quite phenomal you need to experience it to believe it..check out the link..
Hundreds of people gather every sunday at the lions ..to dance, smoke, eat and just chill.

Open Da Night
undisptably the best coffee shop in town.
Old school little italy style coffee..if you need to see a sports event this is the place to come..do not be disappointed by the 10 people in line..these men can serve 10 people faster than one starbuck's employee can get you a mezza latte..you don't need to know any special coffee lingo straight up espresso cappuccino cafe au lait. small medium large. My guess is if you were to order a decaf frappuccino. a blank stare might be the response..real name Cafe olympico corner of St Viateur and waverly..if this place is really too crowded..the social club one block west is just as good. as you're sitting outside sipping your coffee enjoy watching the hassidic jewish population stroll up and down st viateur, carrying on with their lives...
how to ge there..from Downtown metro St Laurent, 55 north get off at st viateur walk west or metro PLace des Arts take the 80 bus north get off at st viateur walk east..either bus route is an excellent way to see what montreal is all about..
walking distance to st viateur bagel
