Jardin de Panos is a wonderful Greek restaurant located in the Plateau neighborhood. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and offered a choice of seating: inside or out in the open-air courtyard. Since it was a nice day, we chose the courtyard, with its lush setting of plants, vibrant flowers, and trees offering partial shade.
Favorite Dish: The menu was in French only, but we quickly identified "filet mignon"! The bacon-wrapped filet mignon offering also came with soup to start, and I ordered one of the best versions of lentil soup I have ever tasted. The bacon-wrapped filet mignon entree came with crisp seasoned roasted poatatoes, a fresh side salad, and bread. Dessert and coffee were also included, and I savored the homemade Baklava over coffee. This entire meal cost about $16 each, and I had enough left over to bring home and eat the next day!
There are sooo many good ones! Our all time favorite is Le Jardin de Panos on Duluth St.
The is one very special place, especially in the summer. The outdoor dining on the back patio is unforgettable - lots of happy people, lots of good food and wine. Panos is a BYOB restaurant, so it can be a very reasonable place to eat.
Favorite Dish: Everything is great! The brochettes are the best I've had anywhere, as are the stuffed grape leaves.
Greek restaurant, bring your own wine (which you can buy at the S.A.Q. on St-Denis street, near by).
Favorite Dish: Shish Kebab, moussaka, backlava and a turkish coffee.
