    L'Étranger: BEST FOOD EVER

by turbinelover Written Sep 28, 2006

The atmosphere at L'Etranger is comfortable and chic, and the prices are very reasonable. The food at Cafe L'Etranger is TO DIE FOR. Their sandwiches are ecclectic mixes of the most random ingredients, but are very well done. For example, I had a sandwich with avacado, smoked turkey, tomato, raisins... strange, I know, but delicious. The wine coolers and mixed drinks there are also pretty good, and there is live jazz on the weekends at 8PM. If you are in Montreal, definitely visit this Cafe.

Favorite Dish: My friends and I all ordered sandwiches and loved them. We particularly enjoyed the Alexander the Great and the Don Quixote.

Nice café right in the center of Montreal. A lot of students go there. I had a hard time choosing, their menu is huge and everything looks delicious. It features a wide choice of original daily menus, wraps, sandwiches, panini all served with a salad and pasta chips.
And if you don't find what you like in their menu (I really doubt that will happen), you can even create your own wrap or sandwich.

Favorite Dish: I tried the Great Alexander sandwich with goat cheese, it was delicious.

    L'Étranger: L'Étranger

L'Étranger specialises in sandwiches of all types. Wraps, paninis, traditional-but-too-big-for-your-mouth sandwiches.... Their menu is so big and everything is so appetising that it can take quite a while to make a decision!!!! They serve loads of imported beers, but also some local brews. Their desserts are excellent. I usually share a chocolate fondue with a friend. At night there usually is a jazz band performing.

Favorite Dish: The Adam and Eve: A sandwich made with apples and havarti cheese.
Alice in Wonderland: A sandwich made with a whole bunch of portabello mushrooms. 'tis so good!!!!
