Peel Pub Tavern: Food, Fun, Sports and Entertainment.
This pub had good food, generous portions, and if you are that way inclined, televisions all over with different programmes, ie. news and sports. One night a week there is kareoke.
It is noisy, especially when there is a ball game on, but all good fun.
Menu is in English and French.
Favorite Dish: BLT and fries went down well with a cold beer, especially after a long day on the tour bus, when you wanted to eat quick. It was near our hotel which was on Peel, so handy for us.
Monday night is shooters night for 99c.
Also there are daily chefs specials -
eg. one night I had a 10oz rib platter served with baked potato and house salad for $8.99. plus tax .
Peel Pub: Lowest Common Denominator
I don't normally write negative reviews on here, but the Peel Pub is quite well known, and that drives people to check it out, but it blows. Awful food, awful beer, and a crowd more intent on getting drunk than anything else. Anyone over the age of 20 or with even the slightest bit of taste will be thoroughly unimpressed.
The Peel Pub is the best for...
The Peel Pub is the best for college students!
You can eat and drink very cheaply at the Peel Pub. A speghetti dinner might cost you $2 american dollars and you probably won't finish it! How about a gallon sized picher of beer for about $12 American dollars. There are always some fun and games going on too. It is near McGill University, so there is always a college crowd!
Favorite Dish: They have burgers, pasta, fish, pizza, fries, chicken and lots of alcoholic beverages.
