There is a large network of trails in the area named "Sentiers des Caps". Well tended and including camp to sleep, the trails cross "north american boreal forest" : fir, spruce, some birch. But, the most intesting is the nice landscape view on the Saint Lawrence river.
I have been there once, a bit too early as seen down here. There are 1 day trip, a service to move your car to the end of longer itinirery, guide service.
You have two start point : "Saint-Tite des Caps" and "Massif de Petite Riviere Saint-Francois". I went to the "Massif" you will reach it driving about half an hour east of Quebec city, on the north shore.
They have an extensive french speaking website : http://www.sentierdescaps.com/fr/index.php
I put down here the english version, but it is not available still. Should be soon.
