Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good walking shoes.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreen in summer.

Photo Equipment: Film is a little pricey in tourist areas (shock), but perfectly good quality.

Miscellaneous: It gets very hot in summer and very cold in winter, so pack accordingly. Summer nights can get pretty cool, even if it was sweltering during the day.

Luggage and bags: We pack many, many things in all different size of Ziploc baggies. Prevents spillage and keeps things handy for those trips to the showers. Speaking of the showers, always make sure that you have change for the showers.

Photo Equipment: Again...put the camera in plastic.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Make the tent the most accessible item to remove from the car, that way when you're beat and just wantto get the tent up, you don't have to go digging for it. Don't forget to use sealer on the tent seams and always bring a tarp and mosquito/bug spray.

Miscellaneous: If you're travelling out of the US with your pets, keep their vaccination records in a handy spot.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good shoes for walk, the streets are very old at some places and not good for high heels...
The weather: I suggest you before you leave to check on weather.com the average weather for the time of the year that you plan on going. In winter be prepared for COLD COLD VERY COLD weather and bring extra layers and warm boots.

Photo Equipment: Many films or take an extra digital card with you!

Miscellaneous: Dictionnary French-English and a Convertion guide for the metric system if you are not familiar with it.

Luggage and bags: Keep it light, you'll have to carry it. There is no car or motor home on the camping ground.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: hat, mittens and warm blanket for the night. Bathing suit, shorts, t-shirt for the day. And anything in between... It can gets from 85 on the beach during the day to 50 at night in your tent (this is in July!)

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bug spray

Photo Equipment: Waterproof camera is fun to take along on the canoe-kayak-rabaska rides

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Something easy to raise in trees (to keep your food). A big glacier full of beers may be fun, but not to easy to balance on a branch... We used nylon bag (usually it holds a sleeping bag) and ropes. Keep your beers in the river.

Photo Equipment: We took snapshorts and bought postcards.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: It did not rain while we were there. But bring rain gear and sun protection.

Luggage and bags: A small backpack for treking around the old city.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: High heels just don't make sense here ladies. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking or sneakers. Some of the hills are very steep.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Carry a drink. Sometimes its hard to find an inexpensive place to grab a drink when you need it. A coffee is $3.00 in many places and it's served so don't forget plus tip. At 4.00 a pop it can chew up your budget fast.

Miscellaneous: A better photographer. Why did I take the pic with a no parking sign in it?
