J.A. Moisan, Epicier: North America's oldest grocery store

So you found the Plains of Abraham and are dying to have a picnic there? You'll find everything you need (and more!) at J.A. Moisan, the oldest grocery store in North America. Established in 1871 as a "fine epicerie", J.A. Moisan has always been the place to go to find fine imported products that are impossible to find elsewhere. Nothing much has changed inside the store since the days Jean-Alfred Moisan used to stand behind the counter - visitors and customers are invited to take their time and look around as the store is full of antiques, dating back to the first days of this unique grocery store. And while you're at it, you can pick up some cheese, pate and cold cuts, along with a delicious home-made salad and a few fine chocolates for dessert :o)

The store is open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm everyday.

What to buy: J.A. Moisan offers one of the best cheese selection in the city, and their home-made products, ranging from sushi and curry chicken to the most typical "Quebecois" dishes, are all delicious!

What to pay: A bit more than a regular grocery store, but it's worth it.

    Excalibor: Boutiques Medievales

Back in 1993, Excalibor established the very first medieval store in Québec. In its factory based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Québec), Excalibor creates and manufactures 80% of the products sold in its 15 stores.

I walked into the Excalibor store on Rue Saint Jean because it looked so different and the swords reminded me of the ones in Toledo, Spain.

The costumes of the staff and the garments available for sale are all great. Definitely a different kind of store :-)

What to buy: If I had my time back I should have bought the ultimate halloween costume but I didn't :-(

Kama Sutra: It's for a friend...

Friends needed a sex shop for some reason so I went to look in the yellow pages in the phone booth..but that page was ripped, so I looked in the other one..and ripped the page myself..

So if you want to go o this very classy place who's decoration style reminds me of GAP, go to Kama Sutra!!

What to buy: TONS of stuff..but nothing too "special" just a very classy, "standard" erotic shop down in the business center.

I ripped it out of the yellow pages!!
