    The car ferry that leaves Rivière-du-Loup takes about 65 minutes to cross to the north side of the St. Lawrence River, to Saint Siméon. The ship is the "M.V. Trans-Saint-Laurent".

    The ferry schedule varies during the year, which you can check on their website shown below.
    The ferry can accomodate 100 vehicles and 409 persons.

    The ferry service recommends that, because the service is "first-come, first-served", that clients be there 90 minutes before departure time during the summer and on holidays, and 30 minutes before departure time during the fall and spring. We arrived about 30 minutes before departure of the last ferry of the day in mid-July, and had no problem getting on.

    It cost us CDN$ 90.10 for our van and a family of four, one-way.
