The ambience is of the simplest. The cuisine is WAY ABOVE what you might expect. The presentation owes something to the nouvelle movement, but the chef has thought out every dish, not just the main ingredient and its flavour. What accompanies it has been finely calculated to harmonise or contrast, and if sometimes at the edge of the classic tradition not trespassing beyond. The service is very friendly and discreet. We couldn`t imagine a nicer place and having tried elsewhere wouldn`t go anywhere else however long we stay in Tadoussac. It`s new and a real find. Do enjoy it.
Favorite Dish: So far, jammet d'agneau (lamb shank): while cooked appropriately slowly, was still moist and even a little pink. The lentil accompaniment was classic, of course prepared from dried lentils.
(Mind you, the pot of chocolate held its own with the taste - if naturally enough not the presentation - of the world-famous pot at the Manoir de Quart`Saisons in England.)

The Cafe Boheme is located on the main street (rue des Pionniers) in Tadoussac and is always full of people, especially during summer. They serve nice light breakfasts (no eggs and bacon, but plenty of fruits and crepes) and light meals during the day. They also have a nice patio to eat out on a nice day, and on the second floor you can sip a cup of coffee while browsing through new and used books. They even have a "leave it, take it" system, where you can leave the book you've just finished reading and pick another one up for free. They also offer Internet access.
Favorite Dish: Breakfast was great!

I just love the atmosphere at this little Bistro located on a quiet side street in the heart of the village. There's a nice patio when you can spend a few hours relaxing after a long day spent on the trails around town or on a cruise. The menu is simple but the food is good - I've tried the pizzas and salads, and both were great. It's also quite affordable, and all in all, it's just one of those places you keep going back to whenever you happen to be in town!
Favorite Dish: I'd recommend one of the pizzas

This trendy local cafe has Fair trade coffees and teas and great food. We had orange muffins and cafe au lait in bowls. They were friendly, had a patio in front, had speciality items and even stuff like cariboo meat and quiche.
Favorite Dish: Orange muffins - with real orange
