Thetford Mines Travel Guide

This museum shows a very interesting collection of minerals, as well as a section on the history of asbestos exploitation in the area.
In the gift shop, you can even buy souvenirs made of asbestos!

The Quebec Central railroad has been out of use for many years, as can be seen in this 1999 picture. It has become active again though for freight services; there are occasional touristic passenger trains though organised by "Train Touristique Chaudière Appalaches".
