On a snowy January afternoon Josh and I shared some appetizers at Clairemont in Westmount. I had a lychee martini while we shared a plate of sweet potato fries and some chicken satay.

There are a lot of fine boutiques in Westmount that we visited on our trip. But the one that really stood out was the Ben & Tournesol gift store (http://www.benandtournesol.com).
From the moment you walk in, you feel like you have entered a very personal space, almost like a gallery for shopping and gifts.
The owner's dogs are there, big LeonBergers who are adorable and sometimes growl like Chubacca from Star Wars.
The selection of gifts was great. Everything from very inexpensive Silly bands to Hermes collection dinnerware. And lots of clothing from designers like Fred Perry, too.
A really fun, eclectic experience to go into the store. Highly recommended!
What to buy: Anything nice or fine.
