This Candellight Vigil occurs yearly at Budmiller Park in rememberance and to honor cancer survivors and victims. People can donate a dollar for a candle to be lit with a loved one who dies nameon it and a personal message. The candle will be lit and placed around the lake. The money goes towards Cancer research. This event is also sometimes refered to as Relay for life.

Another thing to check out is the local rodeo's, if not in Lloydminster than the ones held in small communities around Lloydminster. There is the Lee Park Rodeo a big event, Rodeo's held in Paradise Valley, Vermilion and other surronding communities.

People who walk the relay which goes on for 12 hours straight and this year had 88 teams of walkers stay at budmillers and tent it.

Lloydminster is on the Alberta and Saskatchewan border. Not much here. Normal fast food places, motels and stores. It is pretty flat out here. Definitely not a tourist town.
