  • Prince Albert National Park

Prince Albert National Park is huge. There are villages and holiday/vacation areas within the National park (I've written a review of Waskesiu which is a holiday/vacation village). The prisoners actually hated this device worse than the cat o 9 tails rack. It is the Paddle table, a prisoners was bent over the table tied down and pants pulled down, the spanked with a leather paddle with hole in it theat would leave welt on the prisoner not alowing him to sit for a week. Used into the mid 1960's.

This rack was used until the mid 1960's. The prisoners were straped to this rack when they entered the correctional facility and whipped with a cat o 9 tails and when they had served there time and were ready to be release they were put back on the rack and whipped again just so they remembered what jail was all about...Ouch!!

The staff were all so attentive and served you with a smile. The restaurant is spacious with an option of places to sit; by the fire, by the windows (overlooking the car park), in the middle or along a bar.The menu is good. There is a choice of fish dishes, chicken dishes, liver & onions...
