O'Hanlon's Irish Pub: An Irish Pub in Regina

O'Hanlon's is a really nice Irish Pub located downtown, on Scarth Street. It's pretty big, it's got a great selection of beer on tap and our waiter actually was Irish :o) They also have a sidewalk terrace if you feel like stopping by in the afternoon to enjoy a cold pint or two!

McNally's: Live entertainment with a fun crowd

This bar looks like an Irish pub with all wood inside, typical "Cheers" style bar. They have really good bands playing here, ranging from blues to Celtic.

Fun crowd, all ages, dance floor packed.

Casino Regina: Wanna spend some money?
LiliCanada profile photo
LiliCanada 29 reviews

I'm not a huge gambler but I've been in a few casinos across Canada and I truly think Regina's is one of the finest. It's because they built it around the old CP Rail station so there's huge stone pillars in the main gallery. It's high ceilings with ornate carvings and beautiful artwork, will have you staring upwards for a while ... before you start plugging your coin into the machines.

Regina's Old Warehouse District: Really weird place for nightclubs

Sorry, I don't get it

For some obscure reason this downtown area now contains 15 restaurants, nightclubs, bars and pool halls, most of them located on Dewdney Avenue. Now let me tell you, this is not a very pretty area - you've got nightclubs on one side of the street, and a train track on the other side... I would say the Bushwakker Brewpub probably is your best bet if you happen to be in this area, although I've heard that the New Yorx nightclub is pretty popular - but I have to admit that the cheesy look of the place scared me away.

Bart's on Broad: Great spot to catch some live music action

We actually went to Bart's on Broad for a happy hour type of thing, and ended up staying, well, quite late! The food and music early in the evening were nothing special, but around 10 pm a live band started playing and they were very good. In another section there was also a DJ and dance floor - all this on a Monday night, so who said Regina was boring?!

Bushwakker Brewpub: Try some locally brewed beer!
Jefie profile photo

Jefie 1601 reviews

Bushwakker is located in the Old Warehouse District, an area containing 15 restaurants, nightclubs, bars and pool halls, and it probably is your best bet in the area. This pub is big and very nice and has the unique quality of brewing its own beer. They brew 7 different types of beer, and offer some 20 other brands. They also offer your tipical pub grub, and it's actually quite good grub!

Having been to over 80 brewpubs around the world, I can say that Bushwakker is in the top ranks. The beer is good and so is the atmosphere.

One special note, Mondays is Jazz night, worth a visit.

I know, you have those Irish pubs all over the world. But this place rocks! I was so lucky to be there at St. Patrick's day. Madhouse! Great live music and an unstoppable atmosphere.
