Favorite thing: Visit the beautiful University of Saskatchewan. The Greystone buildings in the fall are absolutely gorgeous. This is definitely one of the most beautiful campuses in Canada. There are also several places to visit on campus including, the Diefenbaker Centre (former Prime Minister of Canada hailing from Saskatchewan), the Geology (Museum of Natural Science)museum, and the Biology museum. You can also catch movies at Place Riel theatre in the Arts building - they often play foreign films or off-the-wall fare. The picture I have selected is of the U of S Memorial Gates (built in 1927)that commemorate the 67 students and faculty members who perished serving the First World War.
Fondest memory: All of my friends and family who made growing up there such a special experience.

Favorite thing: Broadway ave in saskatoon is THE place to be if you are even slightly interested in the art' scene!
The area along the river is also very beautiful, and very lush with greenery especially at this time of year.
Fondest memory: visiting all of the quaint little restaurants, cafe's, that broadway has to offer.
seeing as saskatoon is soo small, the artistic community is to say the least , well, condensed.
i think that this is a totally positive aspect of their 'sub- culture' might i say because as a community the exhibits, gigs, and local acts of talent are strongly supported, and talent is really appreciated, mainly because not everything has already been done here.Speaking specifically from someone born and raised in saskatoon, the extreme at which the local art scene has developed is immense, yet it is still quite undeveloped, leading the way for new, fresh ideas.alot of the regulars in the bar that i work at are musicians, and visit sask frequently, always saying what a strong, friendly group of people live in saskatoon!if u are planning on visiting sask, dont miss out on broadway!

Favorite thing: The Centre is not to far from the Granery, it has lots of stores and about 10 movie theaters inside. Right next door is a canadian tire, they have everything you need there.
