ROTISSERIE ROMADOS: PORTUGUESE DELIGHT

by DAO

Get in there! This place looks a bit basic, but they serve up some real taste treats. The cook their chickens to absolute mouth-watering, moist, delicious perfection. I had half a frango (chicken) with a bit spicy sauce, salad and fries. Amazing. Simple, yet fantastic. They also serve cold (non-alcoholic) drinks and have a fresh bakery inside as well. I had mine to takeaway in a large polystyrene box and went outside to enjoy my food and my day. You get a lot for a little. So get in there! Half a frango meal and a diet soda.

Restaurant Simla: Exceptional authentic Indian restaurant

by nmontour

This restaurant has an exceptional quality/price ratio. Superb surroundings, great service and a constant attention to details; varied dishes from sweet to hot, from all corners of India. The owner and the chef are both experts at their trade. They are already known to the Montreal scene, having operated the Sunam Tandoori in Outremont in their previous venture. This is a new start in Downtown Montreal, you will not be disapointed. Lamb Tindaloo (the hottest in Montreal) and Chicken Passanda. Aloo chat is not on the menu, but you can ask for it, it's quite a wonderfull apetizer.

Coast Westerly Hotel: Sunday Brunch

by MargotB

The Coast Westerly Hotel's The Greenhouse Restaurant has a lovely Sunday brunch ...this includes everything usually served for breakfast and lunch, including a wide array of deserts. The food is prepared by the hotel's top chefs and is excellent along with the ambiance.BTW: Best in the area for Christmas dinner buffet at a reasonable price. Made on the spot crepes with strawberries, syrup, and/or cream, as desired.

Spaghetti Factory: Pasta & Pizza

by MichaelFalk1969

Old Spaghetti House is a restaurant franchise which can be found in all the major Canadian cities. We went to the restaurant in Vancouver (Gastown quarter) and were not disappointed. They offer a wide range of different pasta & pizza dishes at really sensible prices.

Papa George`s: Fine Dining in Jasper

by MichaelFalk1969

This restaurant is attached to the Astoria Hotel and located on the main street of Jasper. The interior is not as posh as the name would suggest, but this makes for a relaxed athmosphere. The food is excellent (if pricey) and the staff extremely helpful (they really deserved their tip). I would especially recommend their wild game platters - really delightful.

Lefty`s: A friendly diner in Qualicum Beach

by MichaelFalk1969

Lefty`s (opposite "Qualicum Foods") is a popular diner with high-quality food, friendly service and competitive prices. The name was chosen to honour all the resourceful left-handers (the diner was founded by three left-handers).

Al Borco Antico: Italian Style Food

by Rumi-fan

This Restaurant is quite nice. Nice decor. Waiter was helpful. I had pizza which was average. It is situated by the bay so view is quite nice. Atmosphere is nice too. No one in North America knows what the drink "Lemon Lime and Bitters" is so I went for a coke. The place is quite nice and I would go there again.

Cupcakes: Try at least once

by Rumi-fan

Had to try one of these cakes. They are so rich it is wise to eat them only once a year. I had a coconut flavoured one which was delicious but I felt unhealthy when I'd finished. But they looked so good.............ohh the yielding to temptation can have its consequences :))

Tip Photo
Mahonys: On campus Restaurant

by Rumi-fan

This restaurant is on campus at UBC - Uni of British Colombia. It is OK - nothing to "rave" about but I'd probably go there again. It is a "pub" style eatery. The company you are with often helps create the acceptability of a restaurant - and the group I was with were a jolly lot so my experience here was positive......however by restaurant standards it was mediocre.
