Aux Anciens Canadiens: Canadelicious !

by MichaelFalk1969

We were lucky to choose the "Ancien Canadien" for our dinner in Quebec. One of the best restaurants I ever visited. The staff is attentive and serves in traditional dress, which adds to the historic flair (without being out of place). The food is high-quality and makes good use of the canadian wildlife like bison, elk, moose and caribou. The desserts are to die for. It comes at a price, but a dinner is an experience you won`t likely forget.

Death by Chocolate: a chocoholics dream

by carolondon

I hope this place still exists. I went there in 1999, and it was amazing. An entire restaurant devoted to chocolate desserts, each one more decadent and mouthwatering than the last. I can't even recall what I ordered, but I do remember it was amazing. A warning: eat a light dinner before heading here, as the desserts are serious! Every combination of chocolate you could imagine and more, go with girls who will make the appropriate sighs of delight at every description read out!

Tim Hortons: Tim Hortons: Gorgeous muffins

by UKDaisy

Whenever I go to Canada, I have to visit Tim Hortons because I LOVE their muffins. My favourite is the Strawberry Sensation. Mmm, just thinking about them is making my mouth water! Shame there isn't a Tim Hortons near me! Sob sob sob.

Moxies, Boston Pizza, Red...

by CDNgirl

Moxies, Boston Pizza, Red RobinPrices are all reasonable. Boston pizza has a pasta day where the pasta is mix and match for cheap.(Check locally for which day and price may vary per Province) Red Robins also offers free refills of Fries(which are great!) with a meal. Each restaurant has reliably, good food with menus with a variety of items.(With the exception of Boston Pizza which is primarily Italian. I suggest skipping the pizza and go for the pasta)

Mitzi's, Winnipeg, Manitoba: My favourite restaurant in Winnipeg

by PrairieDee

Mitzi's is a great little restaurant in downtown Winnipeg. It is really busy at lunch time with the business crowd. The crowd is much more reasonable at supper time. The prices are really reasonable, the stirfry comes with tonnes of chicken and shrimp, and soup to start. My favourite is the Chicken and Shrimp Stir Fry.Everyone else's favourite are the Chicken Fingers.

Casse Crepe Breton, Quebec City: Crepes - YUMMY

by PrairieDee

This is a great little restaurant in old upper town. The food is fabulous and the prices are very reasonable, almost cheap. You may get lucky and sit along the counter and you can watch them prepare the crepes, or maybe you'll sit at one of the window tables with the shutters open. You may have to wait in line, but the wait is worth it. Yum, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Crepes for breakfast, crepes for lunch, crepes for supper, crepes for dessert. I think you understand why I like this restaurant.

Skylon Tower: Breathtaking View..the highest you'll ever eat

by CrystalFrancee

This is a first class fine ding restaurant. You can view 80 miles in this revolving tower. It has an observation deck if you do not feel like eating n the buffet or the fine dining restaurant. I had surf and turf which was a filet mignon and a lobster tail. This place was pricey, use your credit card to get a better currancy exchange.

Tim Hortons: The Great Canadian Restaurant

by Bobsy

Mmmm...Tim Horton's coffee and donuts. Its North American to the bone. Sure their donuts aren't as big as some of the competitors, but what can be more Canadian than a donut store created by an ex-hockey player? Chili breadbowl - Tasty chili in a hollowed out loaf is so great as a winter warmer.Canadian maple - Maple icing and maple flavoured filling? Good god, it chould come with a hockey stick and lumberjack shirt.
