Moose have charged cars, trains and tractors.Males can weigh 550 kg. and females 400 kg. Males will focus so deeply on mating that they starve themselves.Moose do not fear cars and are lured to roadways to lick the salt left from winter.On the average Newfoundland records 700 to 800 car moose accidents a year leading to a death rate of 1.7 per year ( humans).In much of the world drivers flick their headlights to warn of police speed traps.
