It was great to be invited to dinner at a Mexican restaurant, to go to the Dome Theater in Chicago, to go shopping in Michigan Ave. there, to travel by the Metrorail System in Washington D.C., to walk along Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C. and to have dinner at a Ponderossa.
Stay at my first hotel in the United States: "The Governor's House" in Rhode Island Avenue, Washington D.C.; staying with my host family in Green Bay, WI, for a month. Leave a Comment

It was great we could allow some time to visit Chicago, Milwaukee and Green Bay, WI, during our stay there.
A Mexican restaurant, a month's stay in my host family in Green Bay, WI, meeting American students and colleagues, visiting the main sites of those towns and cities. Leave a Comment

When visiting California you must see the coast! We have a highway that runs the entire length of the state..it is a very nice scenic route..however, I don't recommend driving a large/long motorhome or trailer on this road. Most of it is 2 lanes only and very twisty and tight curves with steep grades/hills. If you are into concerts we have lots of those too. I personally like to check jazzconcerts.com to find out where my favorite musicians are playing..The Bastille in Hanford, CA used to host outdoor concerts but I am afraid that they have moved most of the concerts to Visalia's Fox Theater and Fresno. If you like 'Thrill' Rides and 'Theme' parks..then you will want to check out 'Magic Mountain', 'Disneyland' just to name a few. But be ready for crowds, and bring lot's of money..fun doesn't come cheap at these places!!! If you like the wilderness, redwoods, wild animal sightings, etc...then you better check out 'Yosemite National Park' & 'Sequoia National Park'...but depending on the time you go...call ahead to find out how busy they are or if they have closed sections of the park because of weather or natural disasters.
Anytime I go away from California I miss having access to the redwoods, meadows, and the ocean. Central and Southern California beaches have the best climates around for enjoying your time at the coast. Leave a Comment

Go see La Bra Tarpits! Walk along the boardwalk at Venice Beach its tres cool go to a concert at the outdoor amphitheatre at Irvine south of LA the view north to the city is worththe ticket SEAWORLD!!!!! Do this if nothing else its wonderful. Do go up on the observation deck of the Sears Tower in Chicago its terifying. Nearly ALL of Canada is beautiful. Drive it.. yes thats right - one side to the other. Banff will take your breath away - sepecially if you are not used to mountains!
Watching the sun going DOWN into the Pacific Ocean instead of UP from it! Basically i loved going to LA again as an adult. My fondest memory of Nth America as a whole would be the moose i saw in Yellowstone National Park ( I think it was doing its ' noble majestic animal of the wild' thing for this humble young tourist. web shot by acemj Check out this picture. Looks like a snowy field. Nope. It's Mt. Mckinley, the tallest mountain in North America, peeking through the clouds. It's located in Denali National Park, Alaska. Leave a Comment

web shot by acemj I used to see these in Minnesota all the time! There is an abundance of wildlife in Canada and all throughout North America. You can see moose, bear, eagles, mountain lions and many more. Leave a Comment

web shot by acemj I would love to explore British Columbia more. It is located in western Canada. So far, I've only been to Vancouver, which is a gorgeous city, but here's a shot of Shannon Falls also in British Columbia. Leave a Comment

by acemj Niagara Falls in one of North America's great natural wonders. There are two sets of falls, the larger one (the Horseshoe Falls) being on the Canadian side of the border (Ontario-New York). Leave a Comment
