drink Hurricanes in New Orleans. Trek to Skeleton Point in the Grand Canyon. Ride a horse at 6am through Monument Valley and see how the sun hits the ancient rocks bringing them to life. Go White Water rafting in the Colarado river, or go on a swamp tour down the Mississipi. Try a Philly Cheese steak! The Serenity of the Monument Valley

Texas has a little bit of...

by Heleyna

Texas has a little bit of everything. In the east there are piney woods which give way to wild flower fields on the plains. On the gulf coast there are long beaches with gentle waves and warm sunshine. On the way west there is the hill country with it's beautiful bluebonnets blooming in the spring. And in the west there is the Texas of the movies. Sometimes dusty, always full of American History. Cowboys still work cattle the old fashioned way-on horseback. You can enjoy bratwurst in New Braunfels, giant steaks in Amarillo, BBQ anywhere, seafood galveston, and fajitas in San Antonio. When in Texas you must visit San Antonio and the Alamo. San Antonio is one of my favorite cities anywhere. The Riverwalk is romantic. Do dine under the stars on the Paseo del Rio! In the daylight you can shop 'til you drop or take a leisurely boat ride on the river to learn of the history of this historic...

by rskipk

A personal 'favorite' moment for me while I have traveled acrocc the U.S. was easily the first time I actually saw and drove over the Golden Gate Bridge in California. Many things in this Country can leave you in awe; this experience, seeing the bridge while fog rolled in and then crossing it, this was a moment!

by vickic77

Indiana has a lot to offer! The rolling meadows, antique shops, old national road (40), friendly people. There's just so much to see and do. A trip well worth taking!! What I miss the most about Indiana is my family and all the memories that we've shared. From the swimming holes to the parks and those hot lazy days....I remember saying, ' there's nothing to do here' now I wish I could go back and live there in that city that offers sooooo much!

Visit the Indian Reservation...

by isleter

Visit the Indian Reservation in Arizona, similarly in Utah, all the National Parks and monuments. Sailing from Los Angeles to Catalina and Channel islands.Carmel and the coast is the best and coolest place to stay in summer (winter can be very wet and chilly).Winter in the East Coast from Jacksonville all the way up to D.C. thru places like Brunswick, Charleston, Myrtle Beach is very quite and beautioful, very different than the crowded summer, same goes to Grand Cayon and especially the one and only Yosemite, and I almost left out the mighty Yellowstone (but the last time I went there in the winter was 1977, Grand Teton appears like Alps). Zion's back trails are very quite, icy river beds that chewed up the power steering cooler is fun to drive over in Spider Rocks (Canyon de Chelly), inn keepers' services had declined over the years but not the scenery.

It is hard to pick a spot to...

by ejsrdenny

It is hard to pick a spot to go so you must examine your tastes before you step onto the plane. If an urbanite, research your a city that has the most activity and book your schedule ahead of time. If more rural in mindset, check out a topographical map and find a state that offers what you desire, whether beach, mountain, or plain. Then, work the details to rent a car and go go go. If you speak English (sometimes Spanish) and are not shy you can find anything you want!
