Visit the Bosque de...
Favorite thing: Visit the Bosque de Chapultepec. This park is usually very busy both with locals so it's a great place to sit and watch the world go by!
The Museo Nacional de Antroplogia and the Castillo de Chapultepec are nearby. The view over the city from the castle is lovely on a clear day.
Fondest memory: I loved eveything about Mexico City, espcially the friendly people.

Favorite thing: Visit Chapultepec Park. At the end of Reforma Avenue looms Chapultepec hill, noteworthy for the centuries-old forest, which encircles it, and for the Castle of Chapultepec, which crowns its summit. For hundreds of years Chapultepec has been a focal point in this city of such tremendous population growth that an airy expanse of green is vital. You can find here also important cultural centres including excellent museums as the Museum of Anthropology (http://www.mexicocity.com.mx/mantro.html) and the National Historical Museum. In addition, amusement parks, a zoo (http://www.goodzoos.com/Restworld/Chapultepec.htm) and lakes, and is crisscrossed by access routes. These routes most used by hordes of visitors; many of them making up typical extended Mexican families, with their far-reaching family ties. On this picture you see one of the entrance’s of the to the park with in the background the monument of Boys Heroes.

Favorite thing: See the zoo in the park of Chapultepec . It´s free of admission and so much fun!!
Also remember the ruins of Teotihuacan about 50km north of the City center. In Teotihuacan you can find the biggest temple of Mexico, the temple of the Sun. To get to the top you must climb up to 62 meters in thin mountain air. I admit even I had to stop for a while to rest!
More about Teotihuacán below...
Fondest memory: New Year´s eve in Zocalo (the main square in the pic). We had just arrived and the music was great...
Get to know people that have been there before
Favorite thing: You have to visit Centro Historico (Historical Center), it is where the city concentrates at. There are pre-colombian, post-colombian, classic and neo-classic museums and expos. Shops are located by type i.e. clothing, electrinics, musical, etc. Palacio de Govierno and La Catedral sit around Zocalo, the city's most important square.
Fondest memory: Being that my family is from there, I miss the people and the culture, not to mention the food. On one ocassion my uncle took me to Chapultepec to visit the Castillo and he gave me a detailled tour of it. Explaining to me why we speak spanish and not the native tongues, my uncle showed my the past present and what appears to be the future of such a great city. He also took me to see the zoo, and La Feria, an amusement park within Chapultepec.

visit Chapultapec Park! There...
Favorite thing: visit Chapultapec Park! There is a zoo, lovely landscaping, and a pond that people rowed in. One man kept coming back and forth, waiting for us to take his picture.
Fondest memory: As a gawky 13 year old, my fondest memory was in a cafe where 2 waiters brought a stack of paper placemats out. My grandmother had to tell me that it didn't take two strapping young men to carry paper placemats - they just wanted to see me! True or not, it still makes me feel good to this day!
