This is my favourite place to go out in Mexico City. Reserve a table beforehand and arrive around 10:30, after 11:00 if you have no table. The band is fabulous, they play a great mix of latin pop, rock, rap... and make you want to dance. This is considered a high class/fresa place to go, but I never encounter attitude, just good fun. There are a lot of good looking, stylish people, late 20s early 30s.
One last tip- there is no coat check, so if you don't have a table, you can leave your coat with the bathroom attendant for about $20 pesos.
Dress Code: Hip/chic. Girls can go in nice jeans, heels and a bar shirt, guys in a dress shirt, jeans.

For people that like to dance and meet people of everywhere this is your place, i like it cause everyday its a different type of music, beer is about 3 dollars, and you can dress as you want.
If youstay downstair you can sit and hear some jazz music or blues, if you go upstair you can dance.
Dress Code: jeans, sandals, coat, tie.. doesnt matter

I like the variety of music that this dance club played. We arrived after midnight and it was crowded. They have a live band, which is really good and can surprisingly perform latin pop, american pop, reggaeton, and other music too. When the band is not performing, they have a good DJ. I just remember dancing non-stop for 2-3 hours. From what I read online, this place doesn't get crowded until 11 pm or midnight. It stays open until 4 pm. From what I could tell, the age of the crowd is late 20s and early 30s.
Cover was free for women and 200 pesos for men.
Dress Code: I didn't notice a dress code. You should wear jeans and a nice shirt. I would not recommend wearing sneakers.

Salsa bar, great music--it was a live band. We got there a bit early, then it got packed. Salsa dancing was spectacular. We weren't the best salsa dancers but definitely enjoyed the music and dancing. What is great is that there are not only young people..but people of all ages and they are ALL having fun.
Dress Code: A little bit more dressed up then casual.

Had Spanish rock, Reggaeton, where the locals hang out. Very fun place. We got there at around 10:30 and after that it got really, really packed. What helped was that we spoke English and Spanish and our waiter knew this so he recognized us quickly and always gave us drinks right away. In Mexico City, right when you walk into a bar/nightclub they find you a seat at a bar, table, etc. and take care of you....this part I liked a lot!
Across the way we found a bar that had a live band that covered popular Spanish rock songs. Again, fun stuff.
Dress Code: Casual. We were dressed up to go out, as we do in San Francisco, jeans button down shirt, black shoes, and we found that the locals there were not as dressed up.

In this place you can have a great fun - the place is not that big, but you can stay in a table with your friends, ask for the song you would like to sing and drink - you can miss the 2X1 from 5pm until 7pm.
This place is also used as pre drink place, before you go and look for a dance club or maybe some dinner
Dress Code: No dress code

This is a nice place to have just a little Irish taste in Mexico. I'm not refering to be the same - maybe an Irish can tell me, so let's go for some beers
The place is always crowded, the people is very cool, I think that Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays a band plays in live - they are good! and the happy hour is from Monday to Wednesday from 17 - 19hrs.
There are two Celtic Bars one is in "Condesa" and the other one is in "Campos Eliseos" - infornt of W Hotel, both of them are crowded and they play the same kind of music - I like both!!

Pervert?
YES it tend to be, but what I like of this place is the electronic music they play. You will find very DIFFERENT people in here - just take it as an experience and enjoy the drinks and the progressive music.

The Moon Bar is one of my favorites places in the city. What it makes it defferent is the uncommon way to be in a bar - like in the beach but in the city.
It is located at "Camino Real Hotel" so you will be able to meet people all around the world, a snak, some drinks and the elegant and stylish decoration.

The bar plays music of all kind, some acid jazz, lounge, deep house, 70's till 90's, etc. The place is intersting beacuse eveything was made from a differnt artis, making of it a minimalist place, with a cool atmospher.
