by Ramonq Plaza de las tres Culturas. The place of 3 cultures. Aztec, Spanish colonial and modern Mexico. The sands of time has been fossilised here. You see an Aztec temple, a Spanish colonial church and modern buildings all in one comples. There's also a memorial to those who were killed during a student demonstration who were rioting against politics just before the Mexico Olympics in 1968. Leave a Comment

by mocca Go to Puebla, you can stay in there too, but if you are not it is also an easy day trip from Mexico city. It is an old town, with a nice zocalo and a beautifull cathedral. It is also lot safer and cleaner than Mexico city. Leave a Comment

by yeah_baby the RUINS The Tulum ruins in Quintana Roo are located 131 kilometers south of Cancun, just 20 minutes south of Akumal on Hwy. 307. Facing the sea, Tulum is impressive and powerful. Known as the 'Walled City', Tulum was thought to be one of the most important cities of the ancient Mayan during its time. Fresco remnants are still visible inside some of the structures. by LATINO82 Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Cathedral. The main altar is beautiful. Visit also the Presidential House, the Botanical gardens inside are marvelous!!! Also visit the cities that surround Mexico City. Texcoco is a very nice place to visit. You can even dance Quebradita in the street! if you don't know how to dance... I assure you will learn! If I could do it, you too! Reference: See the pic! lol Leave a Comment

by Lys-Noir Walking and Shopping I did have time to stroll around and also do some shopping. There are many shopping malls around the city and prices were incredibly low. Instead of bying only one dress, I made the owner of one shop very happy by bying four or was it even six dresses. All staff members were bowing (this is true) when I left the store. I felt like a Queen, lol!! And how good did I feel myself knowing how little money I spent but how much I gave to that store, maybe they even closed it for the rest of the day and left for home :-)! Those dresses were totally not planned but I just couldn't resist! Of course a bottle of genuine tequila but no sombrero! Leave a Comment

by ephobius Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl mountains. If you like climbing you must go to visit these giants. Both are more than 5,000 meters high. You must be almost an expert if you want to reach the top. If you are like me, a once-a-decade climber 8D you can reach the snow lower level (1 km below the top). Popo rarely smokes, then it is prohibited to climb. There are bus trips to Amecameca, the starting point for climbers. Look for it on a map. There are mountain lodges. Leave a Comment

If you are a computer fanatic looking from anything from a complete PC to a box of CD-R media, don't waste any time and go to the city center. On Republica Del Salvador you will find a building with hundreds of computer shops! The place is totally hectic and packed with people. This area is heaven for compu-freaks - you can buy second hand motherboards on the street, or get harpooned by a guy selling pirated software at dirt cheap prices. Right next to Salvador is Bolivar, the audiophile heaven! Dozens of shops selling all sorts of audio accessories, from gigantic loudspeakers to microphones. Not to be missed! However, be careful when buying items or just walking around - the street is well-known for muggings and is not considered to be safe. Leave a Comment

by flyingpig If you are staying slightly longer in Mexico City, don't miss a visit of the UNAM campus located in the South of the city. A car is recommended as the university grounds are endless. For architecture fans, a visit of the area around the central library is a must. There is also a nearby art gallery/museum with free entry. Leave a Comment
