This museum houses Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera's work which was donated by Dolores Olmedo Patino as it was her private art collection. During the end of the year there is a Day of the dead exhibition. Its gardens are beautiful and there is a bookstore.

    Dolores By Diego Rivera

Mrs. Dolores Olmedo Patino donated her private art collection to Mexico. The Museum is located in La Noria, a 17th century Hacienda occupied in 1913 by Emiliano Zapata.
The collection includes an important number of art work by Muralist and painter Deigo Rivera (137) and 25 Kahlos.
Among the archaeological pieces are 600 artifacts and colonail furniture and objects.
The museum also presents work by local artists and since it is located in Xochimilco, you actually feel out of huge Mexico City.
