There are sooo many restaurants in this Town, but in here we have something quite different, the 'cenadurias´ these are restaurants that open from 7:00 PM to midnight, people come here to have exquisite dinners, a meal in a Cenaduria, costs you around $5.00 USD per person, They are cheap, and they offer the most traditional food.

COMALA'S PORTALS, these are a high light. As long as you drink something food is FREE!!, they bring you lots of snacks, so have a great time here!

Colima´s Coast Line. There are many restaurants that offer fresh sea food, straight from the fisher´s bags! ... prices are higher here.
People and service, as well quality and nice prices. In Colima State, safety and sanitary conditions are well controlled and strict , so dont worry!, still, dont drink from the public water service.

    Favorite Dish: MUST...

    POZOLE

    SOPITOS

    ENCHILADAS

    TOSTADAS

    SOPES GORDOS

AND ALL KIND OF SEA FOOD (Octopus, fish, crabs, etc..)

Night life in Colima city is not That hot, as I said Colima city is a conservative city, but still you can find many clubs and bars. My recoomendation is to ask what is the hot 'antro' at that moment, they change really often, and a place can be totally in one day, and the other, totally forgotten. Bars and clubs, close at 3:00 am in Colima city.

In MANZANILLO (1 hour away from Colima) Night life is way much active, so, if you really want to party, you probably want to head to Manzanillo.

Dress Code: In Colima city, is semi formal and quite Fashinable, in Manzanillo, since is a beach, it is quite more relax.

    You can get to Colima:

Colima has great wheather almost all year long, but before you plan, check the hurricanes and tropical storms forecasts, generally, they are accurate. Dry season runs from October to May, even tho, May gets really hot and dry... Other thing are Earthquakes, Colima is an extremely seismic zone, so, try to ask about security procedures and prepare yourself, since you never know, but don´t worry, Colima's Construction regulations are extremely strict, and even little children know what to do in case of an earthquake. Remember we have a very active Volcano 40 miles away, a nice attraction tho.

Luggage and bags: There is not an specific type of bag you should bring, it is completely up to you.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: LIGHT CLOTHES!!, anyway.. you might be interested in visiting the Volcanoes National parks, so, keep something warm, (just in case). jeans do great, shorts, your swimsuit, some shirts, etc, bring HAT, it is important (or you can get it here).

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Repellant, remember this is a tropical weather, it doesn’t matter how clean or luxury a place is, bugs are everywhere :0), REMEBER!!, always wear shoes!!, as I said before, this is a tropical weather, and some bugs are dangerous, like scorpions for example. even their population is decreasing considerably.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Here fashion is up to everyone, just remember to be careful with what you wear, people here is not used to Hot outfits, and by hot I mean revealing.
