When you visit Queretaro, walk around downtown, visit the small museums and make sure to go into the little stores, you might love some of the souverniers.
Make sure to go to Bernal and go hiking, there is a boulder local people call Peña de Bernal.

Go hiking and go to the traditional markets. In Queretaro you can find shopping malls, but if you really want to experience a different country, visit the traditional markets and smal towns.

If you're in Queretaro, you can visit many little and beautiful towns, like 'Bernal' wich has the third biggest monolite on earth!! and you can climb it almost without a rope!! or you can visit Tequisquiapan, or try San Miguel de Allende!! and if you're there by september, you'll be in the middle of the 'San Miguel de Allende Festival'. The coolest thing on that festival is when they throw like 15 bulls on the street, and you can be a 'torero' once in your life!!

Favorite thing: Take the tours on downtown to visit all the historical places on Queretaro. They are cheap, they have an english/spanish guide, and there are 3 choices so you can take 3 different tours while you stay here, so you do not miss anything.
Fondest memory: When I am not in Queretaro, I really miss the walks on downtown at night . . .all the lights, all the colors, the flavors, the people. . .once you are there, you will surely want to live there. Ask all the people from other states in Mexico that moved to Queretaro. ;)
