Luggage and bags:
Instead of buying a set of luggage, a purse, wallet or leather jacket for your trip, wait until you go to Tijuana. Their leather products are less expensive and there are many styles to choose from.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring toilet paper/tissues with you as some of the "banos" don't have any. Also have a supply of quarters for those banos with a cover charge.
Miscellaneous: Whether driving back into the U.S. or walking back across the border you will be asked for ID. Make sure you don't forget you passport-if you aren't a U.S. citizen-or your driver license because the authorities will ask you about your citizenship when you cross back from Mexico.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Just becuase it's mexico don't think you can go there and were shorts and a t-shirt all year round. i was there in april and two of the nights i was there it was pretty chilly. So i'm sure that in the middle of winter it could get even colder.
The weather can get hot in Tijuana, but bring a sweater or light jacket for cool days or nights, especially in the winter. Sun glasses highly recommended.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring prescriptions from your U.S. doctor and buy medicines in Tijuana (cheaper!).
Photo Equipment: Whatever you bring try not to attract the thieves.
whatever you decide to buy in Tijuana, you'll have to carry it back across the border or you must eat/drink/smoke it before (for example Cuban cigars because it's illegal to import them to the USA).
Luggage and bags: Just remember, whatever you decide to buy in Tijuana, you'll have to carry it back across the border.
