Hard Rock Cafe Tijuana--Closed!: Is It The Real Thing?
Yes! This is the real thing. Typical Hard Rock decor and the prices are about as high as in the USA. This is a good place for those afraid to try Mexican food or for Hard Rock collectors.
Due to the poor economy and intensified by "drug war" scares, The Hard Rock Cafe in Tijuana has closed it's doors.
Favorite Dish: Hamburgers, French Fries and a Coke!
Hard Rock Cafe: Hard Rock Cafe TIJUANA
Look out, amigos locos! Tijuana's wild reputation just got a little wilder. In this town well known for nightclubs and duty-free shopping, it's now your civic duty to swing on into this most-happening club of all! Ever since the Hard Rock Cafe opened on Av. Revolucion, there's been a major revolution in the nightlife here. Located a quick and easy 20 miles from San Diego, California, and just three short blocks from the U.S. Border, this Hard Rock restaurant keeps the fiesta jams going 'til 2 a.m., and is your partying place to be when venturing over the border. Known for fine food and rockin' music, with maybe a little salsa thrown in on both, "T.J." is a town that lives on the edge! Let Hard Rock Cafe Tijuana give you the edge as your ultimate rock destination in this rowdy, hip-happening town. Bravo, Hard Rock! Mucha musica.
Eat Big at Lunchtime
Tijuana has many great restaurants but as many cities, the better ones are away from the popular and tourist area. Mexicans main meal is at lunch time which is usually eaten later so to avoid a wait, eat early. Legend has it Tijuana is birthplace of both the ever-famous Margarita and the Caesar salad. There is of course a Hard Rock Cafe which is better known as the 'Border of Rock 'n' Roll'. It's located in Tijuana's tourist zone on Ave Revolucion.
Favorite Dish: When in Mexico - eat Mexican!!! great food.
Hard Rock Cafe: Sanctuary!!!
Wandering... or more like stumbling around Tijuana late at night, we run across this place! Thinking that we have been eating nothing but burrittos all day... I knew it was time for a little taste of home! We walk in and it was great!!! There were clean tables, actually friendly waiters and the food was pretty good. Not Hard Rock quality, but at that point it was like caviar!!!
The funniest thing was the bathrooms were UP a flight of stairs!!! So, you had to do a kind of balancing act if you had too many cuervo and tecates all day!
Favorite Dish: Had the sampler platter!
During one day there is...
During one day there is certainly not enough time to get some impression of the restaurants and dining places.
I think, the menue in all Hard Rock Cafes is the same and so is the quality. If you have no clue where to go or if you are afraid of Mexican food, have a burger in the HRC.
Hard Rock Cafe: Burgers 'n fries anyone?
Music plays in the background, the lighting is poor, and music memorabilia lines the walls.
Favorite Dish: Cheesburge & fries or a grilled chicken sandwich.
