Tia Juana Tilly's (La Terraza Grill): TJ Tilly's Day Job

    TJ Tilly

Tia Juana Tilly's was popular before they opened Tilly's Fifth Avenue--which I believe was the second "Tilly's" location. Mealtimes at TJ Tilly's is not the bustling experience that you'll find at night and the primary reason for that is the location. The farther up Revolucion the fewer tourists. At night, during the nightclub hours this is a pretty busy place. Busy with more locals than tourists--Mexican and San Diegan locals that is.

Favorite Dish: Steak, chicken, and seafood dishes are offered here and the prices range from $7.00 to $13.00 for a meal.

They are now open for breakfast, $2.95.

Happy Hours between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily, draft beer for $.99 or 2 for the price of 1 mixed drinks.

Tia Juana Tilly's (La Terraza Grill): Overrated!

Tijuana Tilly's is best known because as the day it's a restraunt, and at night it's a bar. It does pretty good buisness just due too location.
Food is OK, but you can get better a taco Bell!

    Favorite Dish: Cheap tacos!

Tia Juana Tilly's (La Terraza Grill): Tex/Mex

Tex-Mex restaurant with a terrace linked to the Jai Lai Palace. Bow-tied waiters serve up main courses (steaks, chicken, seafood) for around US$7-12.

Favorite Dish: To start off the meal, they bring you fresh tortilla chips and salsa. For the meal, try one of the following entrees; Carne Asada - grilled flank steak with rice, beans, guacamole & cheese stuffed pepper for $12.75, the Tampiquena (pronounced tam-pee-cane-ya)
    - grilled flank steak with rice, beans, guacamole & cheese enchilada served with corn or flour tortillas (I highly recommend the flour tortillas) for $12.75 or the Beef Enchilada - served with rice, beans and guacamole for $9.75.
