One of the least expensive providers to use to fly from LAX to Cabo San Lucas is Aero California.
However, there are a couple little things that could save you some additional money.
-AeroCalifornia does not provide E-Tickets, Therefore they must be mailed to you.
-If you book through an Agent like Expedia there is a delivery charge of $20 for the tickets
-If you use the AeroCalifornia website you'll find that it is quite ghetto and not that easy to use.
-You will also see that they charge a $30 Service Fee for each transaction done through the internet
-The best bet is to call them and book directly over the phone.
-They offer the same rates and DO NOT CHARGE A SERVICE FEE OR DELIVERY FEE FOR THE TICKETS!!!
SAVES YOU SOME CASH TO SPEND ON TACOS AND TEQUILA!!!

It is very easy to fly in Cabo via Cabo San Lucas International Airport. Countries like: Mexico, USA and Canada having lots of straight flights to here.
We where flying with Aero Mexico from Guadalajara to Cabo. We had to drive from San Luis Potosi to here, because there were almost no flight, and if there were, it was too expensive...

Several airlines travel to Cabo now; I've taken Mexicana and Aeromexico - good as any. It is possible to drive from the US to Cabo, however, it's a long 1,000 mile and a long way between gas stations.
Airline that fly into the Los Cabos International Airport:
Phone: (From U.S.)
Mexicana (800) 531-7921
American Airlines (800) 433-7300
Aero California (800) 237-6225
Aeromexico (800) 237-6639
Alaska Airlines (800) 426-0333
America West Airlines (800) 235-9292
Continental Airlines (800) 537-9222
The airport is about 15 miles north of San Jose del Cabo and can be reached by toll road if you're in a hurry.

Flights are easy to get from the Southwest US (Phoenix, LA, Dallas). Alaska, America West and American seem to be the major carriers. You can also get a direct early-morning flight from Chicago from November to (I think) April. You will most likely have to take a connecting flight from most cities.

If there are two or three people with and you are staying in Cabo San Lucas as opposed to San Jose Del Cabo or the corridor, take a cab from the airport! The shuttles always take 1-2 hours because of all the stops. The cost is almost the same if you have three people and it will only take 30 minutes to get to your hotel.

Many airlines serve the Los Cabos International Airport from locations in Mexico, Canada and the United States. Airport to town: You can rent a car, take a cab, or hop in a van. The van ticket booth is located just as you leave the airport. For the van, they charge you about $11 US dollars (approximately $80 pesos) each and take you right to your hotel. You can ask the van driver to stop at a liquor store for drinks because it is a long dusty ride into town (45 minutes with no stops and no traffic). It makes the ride more fun for everyone. Taxis have jumped to $60.00 into Cabo San Lucas.

Alaska Airlines has the best deals. Some folks arrive by boat (Love Boat), and then you could always drive...
Community transit busses are common, but their fares change with each ride. Renting a car worked well. Make sure you have some kind of arrangements for transportation to/from the airport, or you're gonna get hounded for timeshare tours, right there in the terminal.
