Favorite thing: I am not going to write much about this place since everybody can imagine how this place must look like and what you can expect from it when you go there. It's a beach resort with all kind of typical restaurants and bars, big hotels, golf resorts, McDonalds, Senhor Frog, Hard Rock Cafe and, and, and
Yes, there are wonderful beachesm, yet most of them are not for swimming due to the strong currents. If you are a surfer, good you can have fun here. If you are a budget traveler, wrong place - very expensive! If you want to have fun and don't want to bother with Spanish - right place for you, everybody speaks English. If you have been to Cancun, or Puerto Vallarta, or Mazatlan - same stuff.
