Mi Casa del Mar: Great seafood
Mi Casa del Mar is a seafood restaurant with a Mexican flare. The interior is very beautiful and has a courtyard setting. It is a newer restaurant and is worth a try.
It is owned by the owners of Mi Casa, who also own other restaurants in Cabo.
Favorite Dish: I had the tortilla soup to start, which was a bit different than the usual tortilla soups - this one was green and had a unique taste.
For dinner, I had the octopus. It is cooked in olive oil and it melts in your mouth.
Mi Casa: Amazing Mexican Food!
This is one of the est Mexican restaurants in Cabo. It is tucked away on a side street, and you would have no idea how big it is...it spans to the other end of the block and can accommodate A LOT of people. Very colorful and authentic, and great service. ALL of the food is delicious!
Favorite Dish: ~Damiana Margarita.

Mi Casa: Overrated!!!
I was tempted to choose "Street Vendor" as the theme for this restaurant because that is what we had through out our meal, one street peddler after the other. We were constantly being interrupted - lady with roses, jewellery and knicknacks, mariachi band, balloon person, even a canary to give you your fortune!!!
It is bad enough in Cabo that you can hardly walk down the street without being constantly bombarded by street vendors. When I make a reservation to eat, I presume I will be able to go to that establishment and eat in peace!!!
Food was average at best. It did not arrive very warm - presentation was just average, the fresh tortillas were too thick or not cooked enough, sort of soggy, certainly not what I like to eat with salsa. I have had many homemade tortillas in Mexico and they have always been so light and tender. Service was adequate though.
Perhaps at one time Mi Casa was the best thing going in Cabo but now, I think it is too busy, just coasting on its past reputation.
Try Mole Mio, we ended up eating there quite a few times. It is much smaller in scope, certainly much quieter. Food is excellent, certainly much more authentic than Mi Casa, althouth their menu is not as extensive. The service is great, so is the atmospher.
You should also take an hour drive north to Todos Santos, what a nice little laid back town, lots of artists, sort of a working artist colony. And do eat at Tequila Sunrise or Sante Fe restaurant.

Mi Casa: Amazing Mole
This was not my first time to Mi Casa, and if I every travel back to Cabo won't be the last. I had emailed a reservation in advance, so our table was ready when we got there. We were meeting friends, so stopped in the ecletically decorated bar, I had the Sangria. It was beautiful, and looked like a margarita in a highball glass with a floater of red wine. Very sweet and tart, but not too sweet to have a second. Our table was toward the back of the restruant, which is way bigger that you would think, I ordered the El Mole Poblano, it was amazing, the chicken was cooked perfectly. They make the tortillas fresh and they are wonderful. Throughout dinner a number of vendors politely ask if you are interested in their services, such as balloon characters, fortune telling, mariachi music etc... To finish the night we all shared the milk cake, wow, it is worth going to Mi Casa just for that. Yummy.

Experience authentic regional specialties in the rich tradition of Mexican cuisine at Mi Casa Restaurant in downtown Cabo San Lucas.
*Mi Casa Restaurant is located on the West side of downtown Cabo across from Town Square Plaza – the one with the whale bones on display. A fitting locale as the restaurant’s ambience evokes memories of an old Cabo San Lucas with its interior walls covered with faux faded and crumbling murals depicting old village street scenes.
*Mi Casa Restaurant is almost a parody on a Mexican restaurant. The place is funky, with crude spindled wood chairs painted in vibrant colors of turquoise, parrot red and grass green. There are painted concrete and tile floors, four palapa covered patio dining levels with plants and Mexican bric-a-brac décor everywhere. Not-to-be-missed is the bar off the entrance lobby. The area is shaded with a wood pergola and hanging vines with a stained glass gothic window assembly rescued from an old church. It’s an exotic, and romantic bar in the old fish camp town we call Cabo San Lucas.
*Mi Casa’s menu is a tour-de-force of Mexican cuisine with many delectable regional meat and seafood entrée’s for the visitor to savor.
Favorite Dish: *Sea Bass, was prepared ‘Sarandeao’ style. Marinated with herbs and spices, and then grilled. The portion was ample and a little spicy. It was accompanied by steamed veggies, flavorful rice cooked in broth, and hand made tortillas. There was a side cup of a special Chile sauce for dipping purposes.
*The ‘Jumbo Shrimp’ in a sweet and sour Tamarindo sauce. Again, a huge platter laden with fresh, steamed veggies, and a side of rice. The sauce on the prawns was memorable.
It was slightly sweet, and tangy with a little Chile without being spicy. It was ‘Camarones’ with a twist, and thoroughly enjoyable.
*At Mi Casa Restaurant, Mariachis strolled and played favorite songs, while the moon rose above the terraced dining patios. A veritable army of attentive waiters was always at the ready nearby or at your table having anticipated your every need. The food and beverages were excellent, abundant and of good value. What more could one want?
Mi Casa: Worth a splurge for authentic Mexican food
We have yet to have a bad meal here. I have pretty much ordered everything off the menu and its all good! The pollo en mole is authentic and every bit as good as anything you will find in Oaxaca. The masa in the tamales is melt-in-your-mouth good!

Mi Casa: Dig Mi Casa
It you want a non-buffet food, off the compound, authentic Mexi meal, go to Mi Casa in town. The concierge at Riu can make reservations for you. Take a cab, its not easy to find. The prices are close to US. About $30+ a head with Monster Margaritas
Its real Mexi food, its good, I will go back!!!!

Mi Casa: Great Steaks and Mexican
Mi Casa is a WONDERFUL restaurant. Decorated very festively & a touch of open air. I had a filet that was to die for. Great service, good drinks, just a great experience all around.
There are two Mi Casa restaurants. This is the "Mexican" restaruant. The other is seafood.
Be sure to call ahead for a reservation.

Mi Casa: over rated
Mi Casa is unique in terms of decor. The traditional Mexican house feels warm and offers a memorable experience.
However the food is about average and the portions are small.
They serve warm tortillas with salsa instead of the ususal chips and Salsa.
The tortillas are thick and intensely textured.
Mi Casa: A Great Time
As you'll read anywhere else, this is a great authentic Mexican restaurant. It's a huge indoor/outdoor restaurant with tons of ambience and a polite waitstaff.
Make sure you visit the original location located in the old town Square. You know you're at the right location if you see a park across the street.
You'll have a great time. This place is big enough to cater to large groups but I'd recommend calling for reservations. I'd also recommend walking the complete length of the restaurant. If you get seated in the front, you're missing out on seeing the whole restaurant.
One word of caution, their wine selection is poor. If you like to have a glass (or bottle) for dinner, you'll be sadly disappointed in their options.
Favorite Dish: I'm biased, I've always loved their Carnitas so that's my choice. You really can't go wrong with much of the entree options.
Mi Casa: Incredible Oaxacan Food
The best restaurant in town -- and second place isn't even close. Great authentic Oaxacan food served in an old brick courtyard. The decor is nice and the place just has a nice feel to it -- plus the service is terrific.
The menu was huge, but it's never much a choice for me; I have the Mole Poblano twice a trip. The grilled seafood here is excellent as well, with the expected fresh Dorado and Snapper. I can't say this about many places, but I've never had a bad meal here.
Favorite Dish: For starters the tortilla soup and ceviche are both very good.
For entrees, you can't beat the Mole Poblano, of course. It's the best this side of Oaxaca. And the Carnitas and Grilled Snapper are 2 other great options.
For dessert try the Ice Cream with Frech Fruit.

Mi Casa: Best Authentic Mexican Food in Cabo
Mi Casa's colorful setting and decorations makes it very welcoming once inside. Eat under a roof or under the sky. Food presentation is nice. The cost is very reasonable.
It can be cramped but it is worth it for the food. This is one restaurant that I would not pass up. Reservations are recommended.
Favorite Dish: The best meals I have had here are the Chile en Nogada (stuffed poblano pepper), Carne Asada, Jumbo Shrimp, and Las Carnitas de Michoacan (oven-roasted pork).
I have also had the Mole Poblano, the sauce was interesting and the chicken was great. It wasn't my favorite meal there but, who knows, you may like it.
I always have a bowl of the tortilla soup before my meal. Other good appetizers are the seafood ceviche and the Ceviche Esmeralda (ribs).
Mi Casa: The best mexican food in the world!
I’m not kidding, this place rules! As a travel agent I make sure each and every customer who goes to Cabo goes here. I was told my co-worker to go here and I went every single night I was in Cabo. The guys who own it are from New York and quite frankly are hot! So my gay friends and me were always rubbing up on them. Hee hee hee….
