Take a cruise on the Pez Gato for a different view of Cabo...from the sea. The crew is friendly and fun, and the secluded snorkling is a nice break from laying by the pool all day.
Make reservations through your hotel to save a lot of money.
Equipment: TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED!
Also, bring binoculars or a camera to catch sight of any whales...

I had arranged for two-two tank dive trips with Karla from Tio Sports and was absolutely delighted. We dove Pelican Rock, Neptunes Finger, Sand Falls and Lands End over the four dives. On the first dive to Pelican Rock there were 5 divers plus the dive master (Jordie). The subsequent three dives were just two of us plus Jordie allowing for a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. No rushing, no struggling around the boat, etc. Speaking of boats, our capitan, Jose, did a great job taking us in and around. He also helped rig gear, pass things in and out of the water, etc. When drift diving around Lands End, he met us at the end of the dive eliminating any long swims and waiting around in the water for the boat.
Neptunes Finger and Pelican Rock are both relatively shallow dives around rock formations where you'll see lots of marine life in and around the reefs. The fan coral is outstanding as are the brightly colored fish.
The Sand Falls are interesting to see. The surge from the Pacific meeting the Sea of Cortez cause a three-level 'waterfall' of sand. It's a deeper dive taking you down 110 to 120 feet but still plenty of light you get to look around at the rock formations as you ascend. Working at different depths make it a bit more of a technical dive since you need to control your boyancy but certainly not a challenge.
Lands End is a fabulous dive site. This dive started out with two HUGE schools of fish, one of barricudas and the other of goat fish circling around. On occasion, a sea lion would blast through driving the fish away but they reappeared as quickly as the sea lion disappeared. I was a giant green morey eel on this dive as well as some big lobsters (no, I didn't take any). Plenty of puffer fish as well. Just a great dive.
Equipment: The first day, get in a touch early to try out wet-suits. I'm glad no one besides me needed a XXXL or the other guy would have been cold. BCS were all Mears and looked relatively new. The regulators too all matched (versus being a pile of mix and match old stuff) and were in good working order.

Waverunners are available for rent all over the beach. Prices are steep if you ask me, at US$45 for a half hour or $80 for an hour. I can be fun, but make sure you listen to the vendor who rents it to you and do not go around Land's End into the Pacific or too close to the cruise ships.
