Colors of Todo Santos by Goner Todo Santos is 50 miles north of Los Cabos up the Baja Coast. It takes well over an hour to drive there due to the winding road and spectacular ocean views. It's best to drive it slow, on our way back we saw a large heard of "bulls" yes, I think they were all "bulls" - there is a bullfight arena in Cabo. Besides "bulls" we saw a herd of goats, being herded by a dog that looked very much like he belonged in Australia herding sheep. Both herds were very close to the highway. The town of Todo Santos is very colorful. It's a laidback art colony made up of local artisans as well as artist from the US. The art is pricey, even though some of it was worth it. Missionaries founded Todos Santos in the 1730s, about the same time as San Jose del Cabo. The main focal points of Todos Santos are its Moorish looking church and history museum at the Casa de Cultura, plus the town plaza and the numerous art galleries. Since the mid-1980s, the area has grown as a tourist / retirement destination. Leave a Comment Address: North on Highway 19 from Cabo San Lucas

Plaza Las Glorias... by Ronald_T This square is also worth a visit. Lot's of small shops are around and the hotel you see on this picture is Hotel Las Glorias. If you are in town and need a water taxi you can walk here through the lobby to the back. You will end up in the Marina where the water taxis are laying. It is a much shorter way...

Cabo is diverse in activities. There really isn't just one to recommend. With it being a small town you can do a lot on your vacation. Here are list of a few things to do: ATV tours, Jet Skies, Glass Factory, San Jose, The Office Mexican Fiesta, Para sailing, Lovers Beach, Santa Maria Bay,& Chileano Pez Gato or Jungle Cruise, & of course Eating and drinking!!! If you are adventourous you can take the ATV tour to Candalaria. But if you are not up to an all day tour you can take a tour to the old light house and watch a sun set or ride the dunes. San Jose offers a quiet approach to old Mexico with cobblestone streets and little stores with knick knacks. Great for shopping or just to get away from the hussle and bussle of Cabo. The Office Mexican fiesta offers a little culture with traditional mexican dances and a pinata for the kids. Jet skies give you an opportunity to explore the shore line of Cabo. Para sailing gives you a birds eye view of Cabo. Lovers Beach is a great romantic place. They do have some good snorkling over there also. Make sure to pack water and something to eat as it is remote. The only way in and out is by boat. (Unless your an advid hiker) There are many beaches besides Playa Medano, but they require a car to get there. The most famous ones are Santa Maria Bay and Chileano. They are on the highway towards to San Jose. They are great for snorkling. Chileano is where a lot of locals hang out. Once again you must pack a lunch and bring water there are not resteraunts out there. They do have a place to rent snorkel gear and umbrellas and stuff like that. The Jungle Boat and Pez Gato cruises are wonderful. They sail two times a day. Once in the morning and once at night. The day trip takes you out to Santa Maria bay to snorkel and at night you tour the bay of Cabo San Lucas and the arch. Both are open bars, so no driving afterwards!!! Cabo is full of resteraunts and places to try local flavor. Pacifico beer tastes great after a long day at the beach!! Leave a Comment

The Hotel by Goner The Finestra Hotel has a happy hour from 4-6 p.m. two drinks for the price of one. You can sit by one of their pools and watch the sun go down. The drinks were very good and the pool area wasn't that crowded. It's a beautiful hotel and has a wonderful large beach area. Leave a Comment Directions: It's in Cabo next to Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas and faces the Pacific Ocean side of Cabo.

A View from Pedregal House by Goner We enjoyed a trip to Pedragal which is the area high above in the hills above Cabo that has some fabulous villas. There was one villa under construction, so we pulled up (and I mean way up) and parked in the driveway. We went on our own personal tour. The house was built around boulders and had a spectacular view. Leave a Comment Directions: In Cabo, it sits above the marina

The Church... by Ronald_T Also the church looks also a very recent building. Here the church is not build on the main square, but around the corner...
|
Inside the Church... by Ronald_T As every other church, this one has a main altar as well. It is the first time I went to a church in Mexico that not had people inside to pray. Here the religion is dollars, and who am I to blame them. Merchants are to busy to get to the church...

The main square... by Ronald_T Cabo San Lucas is not a big city. Everything is build for tourist and there is almost no history. I mean by this that there is history, but it doesn't show up in town anymore. Everything from the past is gone, except a few poor houses. Every important building is new, even this main square...
