so i've been trekking around Cabo for a few days by foot, by taxi getting pretty familiar with the place and the one day that i don't ask the cost before getting into the cab is the day that the driver wants to charge me QUADRUPLE!! i didn't pay...he called the cops...and a nice mexican boy came and helped me out...i'm not sure exactly what happened but the cab driver left. moral of the story.....ask first!! by hotsauce28 So I'm getting ready to leave Cabo and I ask around to find out what bus i'm supposed to take to the airport. The Cabo Superbus says it goes to the airport so 7am I board the bus...well, it doesn't take you there...it takes you sort of near there.... The bus driver tells me where I'm supposed to get out and it's in the middle of the highway. I see everyone else (airport employees) walking in the general direction and i'm assuming it's about a mile.... I start walking with my bags and realize there's no way i'll make my flight...out goes thumb....and there is my very first experience hitch hiking...... Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

Water Taxi by Sonador3 One of the funnest ways to get around, and to certain places the ONLY way to get around is by use of a water taxi. For example, if you'd like to go from The Office at Medano Beach to Lovers Beach, the only way to get there is by water taxi. They are easy to spot; just look for one of the boats that looks like this one pulled up onto the beach and walk up and negotiate a price. Most charge between $3-$10. If you are going to Lovers Beach, you can pre-arrange a time for them to pick you up. Leave a Comment Theme: Ship/Boat

The best way to get around Cabo San Lucas is to either walk or take a taxi. It is a small town, so everything is very close and you shouldn't have to walk more than 15 minutes to get from one spot to another. Taxis are all over and will get you where you want to go. They are reasonably priced. I would recommend against driving. Parking seems to be hard to come by. There is a ridiculously large parking garage at Puerto Paraiso Mall that is free to park in, but you still have to walk at least 5 minutes to get anywhere besides the mall. Elsa and me in the Water taxi... by Ronald_T A water taxi is very common here in Cabo San Lucas. For Lovers Beach you will need a water taxi, but lots of people take them also from the Marina to the Medano Beach or some other beaches. The prices of this are very reasonable... Theme: Ship/Boat

Most people have noted that taxis in Cabo are expensive. Instead, check out the hotel shuttles. Most hotels provide shuttles free of charge. Some just go to other hotels, but if the destination hotel is close to town, you can walk. We did this and didn't have to pay for any taxis. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

VIEW OF BIKEDRIVER FROM PASSENGER SEAT by travelgourmet Five dollars will get you a two passenger bicycle ride around the town of Cabo San Lucas. It is sometimes better than walking in the heat of the day. You can get a bike driver on any street, by hailing. Get the price before you go to the destination you choose. A fun way to see the town. If there are two or three people with and you are staying in Cabo San Lucas as opposed to San Jose Del Cabo or the corridor, take a cab from the airport! The shuttles always take 1-2 hours because of all the stops. The cost is almost the same if you have three people and it will only take 30 minutes to get to your hotel. It's better to pre-arrange airport transfers with your hotel. There are many people vying for your business once you land--don't take those rides. We arranged for our hotel to pick us up at the airport, and it cost $34 per person for the trip to the hotel and back to the airport at the conclusion of our stay. You pay this up front when they pick you up, but don't worry because they give you a voucher so there is a record of your payment. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

This Wagon doubled as a surfboard...... by Kamran You'll need a car if you really want to enjoy the southern tip of Baja. Taxi's are expensive. Go to the Westin Regina Hotel and visit Manuel at the Hertz Car Rental Desk. If you slip him some US cash under the table he gives you a great deal on cars. I picked up this great Nissan wagon for 55 USD including all insurance and tax. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home
