I really don't know how best to describe the action at Playa Norte other than to liken it to cruising the shopping malls parking lots when your in high school....it's night and there's nothing for people of that age to do, so they congregate....but we went cruising in high school because there nothing else to do, nowhere else to go...
Hanging out at Playa Norte in Cd. del Carmen is sort like that....it's late, the all the bars have closed (at 3am), there's nowhere else to go, nothing else to do, but you're in Mexico and that means you can't go to bed until the sun's first light....So, you head to the beach and hang out with everyone else on the bloody island...

All the terrasso's on the 5th Boulevard are open at nights. So if you want to have a meal, some shopping and then a good drink and you like people-seeing (same as sight-seeing only your looking at people now) then you are on the right place if you visite 5th Bourlevard in the evening.
Dress Code: They are very used to tourists and you can come the way you like in the terrasso's, but if you're going to a place more expensieve then would like you to wear some deasent clothing.

There are a lot of places where you can have a meal and a drink in the evening. So many that its even hard to make a choise. This terrace is one of the many that we came across.
Dress Code: Just tourist like....shorts, jeans, just they way you like and the weather provides.
