    There are many ruins in Chiapa de Corzo. Though, only two sites are open to the public.

    In January, the whole town goes in fiesta mode.

    A public fair, fireworks, parades and "parachicos" are all part of the celebration.

    Parachicos are figures representing a legendary individual that could make a dying child laugh. You can see tons of people walking the streets dressed as parachicos. They have this slightly spooky look.
