The first thing you want to do is go to the Library,( The Biblioteca Publica). Its not just a library, it has books but it has a lot more. You get the English language paper Atencion there, it has local news, whats going and what to see and do. It has a snack bar. Very nice garden area, good sandwiches, cold beer, great margaritas and happy hour. (I died and went to heaven and its only lunch time) It also runs home and garden tours. Sign up early, its a great tour and you definitely want to go. Clean bathrooms also.
Some highlights: El Jardin, the city town center, start here and walk around.
La Parroquia, the church on the main plaza (El Jardin)
Get yourself the Art Gallery Guide: Its list only 17 but there are multiple artist in each gallery and there are more than 17, but its a start.
- San Francisco Church, Loreto Chapel, Church of Our Lady of Health
- Several Museums; Don Ignacio Allende's Hourse.
- The shopping, the clothes and shoe store and abundant. Buy and and spend.

This was a little upscale. Not the usual San Miguel restaurant. But a great place to spend an evening and listen to music and have a great meal. Ambience, service, food and music was excellent. Clean. Prices were not bad, just a little bit higher than other restaurants, but well worth it. Visa accepted.
Favorite Dish: Steak. Presentation, and taste was excellent

Inside, upstairs, outside, where ever you want to eat. This is really a great Italian restaurant. There is a happy hour, food was excellent and more than enough. The ambience was fantastic, wine was good. Service was excellent, owner came around and talked to customers. Just a nice, friendly place, crowded, NO Visa when we were there.
Favorite Dish: Sausage and peppers.
