IF you walk alot, bring good shoes from home!!!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It is true that Mexico has a great selection of shoes, unfortunately they are mostly fancy shoes or high heels which are hard to walk the five miles a day I walk to get to work (personal choice, not because I have to). The shoe issue has been a thorn in my side, every time I buy a pair here, they end up blistering my feet, so I have resorted to paying more for Nike thongs. Don´t be a fashion victim!!!

Guadalajara is conservative
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Guadalajara is a very mild climate year-round, with the occasional freak cold spell they call a gift from the el gringos and you may need a light jacket. The warmest months are April and May and from June through September expect tropical down pours for an hour or so in the afternoon.
Miscellaneous: I did not feel comfortable in shorts and saw only one Mexican wearing them on the Tequila express.

Bring some winter gear!!!!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Because I am, well, myself, I didn´t research the weather here in the winter...because of this I have been freezing my butt off every morning and have had to buy more sweaters than anything else here...don´t be a Becky...bring some warm clothes if you are coming during the winter months!!!
