    This is a health store/soft serve yogurt place that makes me salivate every time I go by (an attractive picture, I know).

    Here, they give you a cup or cone of yogurt, with your choice of ingredients on the bottom AND on the top, such as granola (my fave), chocolate, strawberry, pineapple, different things I havenīt been able to translate yet, and even bran for those who just donīt feel regular. The best thing is that if you donīt know how to pronounce it, you just point....in fact, I think I am going to go for one right now...

    Tacos Providęncia -- Now this is the real deal the real thing. Very good food and oh so cheap. A friend from Guadalajara took me here when I ask for where he liked taking his family. Wonderful you can have Tacos more ways than I could ever imagine but none of them are anything like Taco Bell for sure. The Kitchen is at the front of the restaurant so you can have fun watching the action and choping while you wait.

    Well Tacos for sure but the type is el pastor this is beef cooked on a spit like a Greek gyro and served on two small tortillas. You can see the meat cooking below in one of the photos.

    Now, let me break it to you guys...I donīt like Sushi. I know, itīs a travesty. However, my friends love it, and so I am writing this on behalf of my friends here in Guadalajara. They have all been to the Sushi Movil, which is a moving sushi van that offers pick up or sit down sushi (not many places to sit, mind you). The problem here, is that all Mexicans seem to love sushi, however it is all loaded with cream cheese (personally I didnīt know that was done), and they donīt offer wasabi, which made my friend very angry...she even went and bought some, but it isnīt even hot here. Ginger is also a rarity here. So therefore, you are eating soy dipped rice and cheese with a few spots of salmon or avacado. You can decide.....

    El Patio --This is a beautiful old colonial home turned into a restaurant in a patio, terrace and open sidewalk setting. Great bar.

    In fact I enjoyed the Churros freshly made just around the corner out side the place this was the best and where the locals eat

    The guacamole was very good.

    For a real taste of what a taco should look and taste like you have to visit a taqueria like this one on almost any street. I ask the taxi driver to take me to an "up market street " as I like where I eat clean and neat like this place --Taqueria Mirerva.

    One of the many Mexican delights that I had craved since my last trip to Mexico was a fresh made al Pastor Taco. They cut off the meat on a spit and but it on two small corn tortes than I pile high the three of four kinds of spicy sauces.

    The Pico de Gallo salsa here is the best I've had anywhere

    This isnīt referring to a particular Mexican restaurant, but more so ALL the restaruants here...in fact, asking for a taco place here is like asking for a 7-11 in the States...just open your eyes, and there it is...

    The best thing about it is that the more out of the way and cheap looking the place is, the better the tacos usually are. They do have places like Chiliīs here, but they are way more overpriced and not as tasty as the little joint down the street that doesnīt even have a name and one of the workders is an 80 year old guy with bad vision...its all about the end product, folks...

    This restaurant is packed daily and has been for more than 20 yrs. The owners are Argentinos that have lived in Gdl. for many years and are meticulous in their service and meals. They also own another restaurant, Los Immortales - but our favorite is the Estancia. It is filled with photographs of all the famous visitors from around the world that have visited their establishment. The ambience and the surroundings are great! The service too!!

    This is the choice restaurant for business travellers to Guadalajara. The empanadas are delicious. The chimichurri sauce, the bife de chorizo, the salad!

    A very mexican restaurant, with the best Carne en su Jugo (beef in its juice), beans and ambience.
    They won the Record Guinness for the fastest service with 13.5 seconds. Well, in my opinion they should also have a record for the best tasting food in Guadalajara.
