  • Aye Caramba: Seafood Platter for 2! Yum!!! Sooooo Good!

You know your food looks good when someone from another table asks if they can take a picture of YOUR food. The Seafood Platter for 2 was so scrumptious and delicious - Hmmmm! - makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I didn't even know lobster and shrimp could be so juicy and sweet and buttery. The open veranda setting overlooking old Puerto Vallarta was absolutely romantic and wonderful. We had been recommended to go there before sunset to see the beautiful P. Vallarta sunset, but of course, we were too late, but we were lucky to catch the fireworks from a ship. The price was as expected - about $95.00 for the Seafood platter (for 2). The service was great - but it wasn't so busy being that we were there a little later. We had been recommended this from other vacationers, and we thoroughly LOVED this restaurant. Some say you have to phone for reservation if you go at sunset (to get a table to the front of the veranda for the view).

Favorite Dish: Seafood for 2 - the best!!! Includes the chips, guacamole, salsa, rice, veggies, and a salad on the side.

  • Aye Caramba: rotting corpse taste better than the food at this

by ooooooooooo Written Feb 12, 2007

This was the worst place I have eaten in my life . The ribs were tough and cold, and tasted like drywall. The vegetables were cold and hard. The steak must have been boiled ,not grilled. The chicken was stringy and under cooked. There were 8 of us at the table and they gave us salsa and chips to feed 2 people, and when we asked for more they were rude. When we left ,they threw the tip back at us and said it was not enough. This place is overpriced and not very clean. Burger King puts this plce to shame.

    Favorite Dish: There was none

Up on a hill - great view. Perfect for sunsets!

Favorite Dish: Rum punch is yummy
    Curry Shrimp is very good

If you like spicy salsa, you should ask for it with your chips. Otherwise they serve guacamole and pico de gallo. but it is very hot

Another great open air seating restaurant. Your taxi ride is short, but fun. When arive at Aye Caramba, you drive a a very steep hill, get dropped off at the back of the restaurant, go up some old steps and wonder, "What in the heck am I getting into". When you open the door, WOW. The view is amazing. You will enjoy you dinner looking over the bay with wonderfully entertaining waiters and live music.

Favorite Dish: The lobster tail. No matter how you get it is is awesome and HUGE!!!

Aye Caramba: A Rooftop experience and great food

Aye Caramba is a smaller restaurant. It is on top of a roof of a building thats situated on the side of the mountain. It overlooks the downtown area and the view is amazing. The food is very authentic, it's a bit pricy but a great place to go. You can see the sunset right over the water because it faces the bay area. It's great! Make sure you go here!!

Favorite Dish: All the food was good. The seafood platter was very big and excellent, the fajitas were perfect.
