La Dolce Vita, Puerto Vallarta

This restaurant in the malecon is probably the most popular in Vallarta. It´s not the best food, nor the best price, but overall the ambience is very appealing and you will never leave dissapointed. Very good service too!

Favorite Dish: Penne Dolce Vita with mozzarella, tomato and basil. Very simple but tasty!

This is a great option in vallarta, very popular with locals, the food is very good (specially pizzas and the pasta Dolce Vita) and the ambience is great!

Strongly recommended!!! I´ve been there dozens of times and they keep a high standard.

I can say few words about it... tasty and smelly just as real good italian food can be...Luna Pizza was awesome, eggplant, roquefort and mozarella cheese, serrano jam, mushrooms and basil....folded as a luna(moon) as well fried calamaries were yummi.....great service,,,Malbec wine excellent

Oh...where to start?
We discovered this local resturant many years ago. It is downtown Puerto Vallarta across from the Malecon. We were traveling with young children and looking for a place that served kid friendly food (this was before pizza hut and mcdonalds etc were in PV). We happened upon a two story resturant that served italian food and took a chance. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! They have wine, appetizers, pasta dishes and many speciality pizzas (or just plain cheese). I think we ate there three times that trip.

If possible, go about an hour before sun set. Ask to sit up stairs and don't forget your camera. Our family has been watching the sun sets there for many years now - and the first one was just as beautiful as the most recent one. The photo attached is from our most recent trip. As you leave the resturant the malecon will light up for a wonderful evening stroll.

Favorite Dish: PIZZA - it's thin crust mexican style.

I really liked the food here although the service is lacking. Our first visit we had no problems and got a great waiter, the second visit we had a pretty bad waiter who made us wait a long time before taking our drink orders. Once our food was out we never saw him again, luckily another waiter was helpful and took over for him. Also the pastas are great but come in small portions.

Favorite Dish: The pizzas are great! The gnocchi pasta is not bad either.
