This restaurant is a 'must-see' to believe restaurant in terms of ambiance and breath-taking views!! The multi-level dining areas, as well as the colorful, multi-level gardens, all set on the side of a cliff, overlooking the ocean make this a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The staff was very attentive, fun and professional. The seafood enchiladas were fabulous!! We highly recommend this 'off the beaten path' restaurant!!

Favorite Dish: We enjoyed the seafood enchiladas that were a combination of shrimp, octopus, and scallops with a delicious red cream sauce.

    Le Kliff: Amazing!!!

by etfromnc Updated May 23, 2011

Almost a 30 minute taxi ride south of our hotel (The Sheraton Buganvilias), this astounding restaurant is literally built into the side of a hill overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. There are at least five different dining levels, each seating 30-40 people or less. I am in Puerto Vallarta for my nephew's wedding and as fate would have it we had a bird's eye view of a wedding at Le Kliff, the night before my nephew's wedding. We were three levels above the reception and another above the site of the actual wedding. Their guests, and our party, really enjoyed the wedding and the reception, music, and dancing. We experienced something which none of us have ever seen before. About half-an-hour into the reception, the bride disappeared to return a few minutes later, with most of her wedding dress missing, and dance a hula for her husband . It startled us but it was a very touching experience. (And the bride was a very beautiful young lady.) We have suggested that my nephew's bride should encore that performance tonight but she has emphatically declined adding that if that happens in her life it will be in the privacy of their home.
The primary theme of Le Kliff´s menu seemed to be seafood but they also had steaks and chicken.

Favorite Dish: My favorite dish was the Royal Tropical Salad which was built upon a bed of greens and included strawberries, kiwis, nuts, and a light almost sweet Balsamic dressing. I also had a filet mignon which was amazingly tender and done to perfection.

Le Kliff sits on a cliff. Great name. Great view. A large Palapa covers the restaurant and there is a table for two out on a separate cliff. Very romantic and at sunset, a wonderful view of the ocean and sun coming together.

The ambience is pure mexican delight and being perched on a cliff makes one super dining experience. The food is mostly seafood and the prices are on the high side, but the view, ah yes, the view makes up for the costly dishes. If you don't want to dine but are in the area, stop by just for the view.

Favorite Dish: The seafood Ceviche is delicious and priced right. Served in a coconut shell for a bit of tropical splendor. Have a cold beer or marguarita in one hand, and this is a combination that will make the view even better.

Le Kliff is just south of Mismoloya. The restaurant itself is open air and terraced down towards the ocean providing great sunset views with your dinner. They have a different lobster special everyday. Delicious!!!
