Beat the traffic and the heat and enjoy a scenic ride from Vallarta Palace/Paradise Village to Downtown in 30 minutes. If you're lucky, some dolphins or breaching whales might show up! Don't take the water taxi if you're planning to do a lot of shopping. The ride back may be a little bumpy due to the afternoon wind. You may get a little wet sitting on the right side (facing the bow) of the boat.

If you want to get to a lot of the small secluded beaches on the south side of Banderas Bay you can use a water taxi. There are no roads to places like Yelapa.
Just go to Los Muertos Pier in Puerto Vallarta and water taxi is one of the more affordable options for getting to these areas.

If you are planning a cruise but this Puerto Vallarta is a place you want to visit, I can tell you it is a very popular cruise ship destination, so that won't be a problem either.
I am sure there are hundreds of different operators going into this port. I just provided the web address for one of them.
I have to say if I were going on a cruise this would be a great place to stop in and visit for the shopping, downtown, the Malecon and the excersion opportunities!
It's something to consider for sure when your planning a cruise. Where will we be stopping? :-(
