if you want good authentic mexican food visit the food stands in juarez they may seem like shacks but they are the best food in town. dont fall for the hype these high price restuarants charge. they have awesome places with exotic dining experiences but there food is usualy bland. i am an american who livied in juarez for five years and i thought all the good places where the places with aztec statues and expensive electronics were good was wrong. If i could recomend a restaurant it would be "don angels restaurant" i dont remember the address but it is going to the saragossa bridge right by the sony plant thats the best seafood in all of juarez. he has all his seafood flown in from sinaloa daily.
DON ANGELS SEAFOOD RESTUARANT
Favorite Dish: my favorite dish would be the "leche de tigere" wich is translated "tigers milk"
because it is a dish you eat when you are hung over. another favorite of mine is the fresh oysters which no one can compare its freshness

I have no idea the name of th restaurant but it was right near the border. We ate in an authentic Mexican restaurant where mariachis would ask if they could play for you and street vendors would sell their beaded and painted wares. The food was excellent. You could tell the guacamole had just been made from crushed avocados and lemon. This was not the jarred guacamole some Mexican restaurants in the states sell. I ate a plate containing different Mexican food such as tacos and enchiladas. I drank two of the local beers Negro Modelo and Bohemia. The beers were ok but not as good as a Corona with lime.

Favorite Dish: obviously Mexican food: my real favourite food in the world. I may have seen little in Ciudad Juarez, but surely I have eaten a lot. I actually did not eat the previous day, so I crossed the border nicely hungry. What a delight: tacos, fajitas de pollo, burritos... and then again: nachos y guacamole, i could live on this... and drinks: margaritas - really delicious ones. Mexico is heaven for my tastebuds.
