Sokalo means something like 'main square',and this one you can not miss.there you go in one of the oldiest catedrals in Mexico (I think the oldiest one is in the Cuernavaca).Be there in the early moning and watch raising of Mexican flag,or go in the evening and watch ceremonia of taking down of it.Realy something to see.Trafic is blocked, and a lot of people are showing their love to their country.Becide the cathedral is market for souvenirs, and a lot of Mexiacan natives are doing their rituals.Yes,this is the center, and here is everything happening.Dont miss Sokalo.
Ok I remember if I got the name 100% correct but this is the biggest party in Aquascalientes of the year, it last a month and starts in April and runs through May 5th, street vendors, rides, dances, bands, and the whole ball of wax happens then. The local brew Sol Beer is 50 centavos a glass or about US$0.05 (5 cents) food everywhere and music until the early hours of the morning so if you are there on business for get about sleeping downtown.
is a "must" when you go to Mexico DF, is such a cool experience, you find music, food, souvenirs and maby colors all along the way.
When you are in the center of the city, across of the "palacio de bellas artes" is one of the highest buildings, and you can go on the top and look on this great city.Don't miss that.
