SrdjanJovanovic Says:
For a little money, something like 200 pesos for 10 persons (2 euro per person),you can drive through this amasing lake.Be sure to hae your camera and go to the waterfall.
The beautiful lake...
Laura_Mexico Says:
Valle de Bravo is located next to this lovely lake where you can take boat tours both during the day & the night time, the latter being offered only during the weekends (Saturday night). During the day you can see the magnificent landscaping around the lake, and on the night...
Go horseback riding!!
Laura_Mexico Says:
Don't miss horseback riding, which is very popular and one of the few activities there are in Valle de Bravo. This is a good friend of mine and myself riding horses uphill!
Tiempo Compartido Avandaro: Inside the cabin!
Laura_Mexico Says:
This is the interior of the cabin where my friend and I stayed... it was very comfortable and it's the ideal place to rest -- no TV, no radio, nothing but you and nature! Everything is provided to you: dishes, electric appliances for the kitchen, it has a nice dining room,...
Tiempo Compartido Avandaro: Nice cottages in the outskirts
Laura_Mexico Says:
Also called "La Querencia". A night there is approximately 150 US Dollars, depending on the size of the cabin you take. The smallest cabins can hold 4 people, the biggest ones can hold 8, and the price I mentioned covers the entire party (which means you would only pay 150...
Taxi, or WALK!
Laura_Mexico Says:
There are taxi cabs that can take you from one place to another within the town of Valle de Bravo or even to the surroundings (to the hotel where I stayed in Avándaro, for example). If you're going to stay within the downtown area the best you can do is just walk and enjoy...
How to get there!
Laura_Mexico Says:
If you're coming from Mexico City, you can either rent a car and drive to Valle de Bravo (it's approximately a 2 hour drive) or take a bus in the Terminal de Autobuses de Observatorio, in the north-western side of town. There's only one bus company that takes you there but...

well, got to say to you that you must walk to the waterfall for some 20 minuts from the lake, and that you can easely fall down becouse you are going through the mountain. You have some bridges on your way,so don't go alone,it is better to have someone with you.On this picture are my friends crossing one of the bridges.

Cover yourself, please!!
Helpfulness

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Whatever you decide to wear (which would usually be short pants, t-shirts and comfortable stuff to walk and go horseback riding) you should bring a good jacket or coat for the evening/nights, as they are REALLY COLD, especially in the very last and very first months of the year! So make sure you take something to cover yourself, as well as some comfortable shoes to walk in town (tennis shoes might be the best choice) and maybe a pair of boots if you're planning to go into the woods.

Lovely corner
Laura_Mexico Says:
A cute corner of the main square, on the back side of the Cathedral, with the fountain and the lamppost giving it a romantic aspect -- at least to me!
The main square at sunset
Laura_Mexico Says:
This is again the main square in downtown Valle de Bravo, next to the Cathedral, and the view of the mountain right in front during the sunset...
Lovely Waterfall
Laura_Mexico Says:
This is me in front of a nice waterfall you can find on your way downhill from Avandaro (where my hotel was) to Valle de Bravo, right next to the road. It looks really nice and you can stop there to relax for a while and admire the surrounding landscape.
