iv been to paracho so many times the best thing to do in the afternoon is stroll in the plaza while enjoying a snack you can buy close to were you are. They have the best bailes(dances) at night with the best bandas. you can site see you can go see the big paracho guitar right in the entrence to paracho offcourse what paracho is known for. The best time of the year to visit is the first week of Augost when the guitar fair is on. there are activities to do every afternoon and at night there are the best dances.
there is so many diferent food you can chose from you can go to the mercado next to the plaza were you can find carnitas, tacos, biria, the best tortas, enchiladas, the best posole, and all kind of sea food. for dissert you can walk over to get an ice cream at one of the three paleterias of my favorite la michoacana!!!!!! or you can go get a fruit cup that they sell at the plaza, or a pice of natural fuit candy, or a slice of cake.
Not many restaurants in Paracho. During my afternoon stroll, the only food I saw was at the food stalls on the plaza.
Favorite Dish: Comedores sell all types of food. Purepecha women sell tortillas of a moldy green color (which I was too timid to try).
you can get a comune taxi to get around parach or to take you out of the city. the price ranges but is less expesive then the centro taxi or the monarcas. when i go they are how i get around they offer the best servece and they are super nice. you can find then two blocks down the plaza.
