I spent an afternoon sailing whit a great guide named Josh from J World sailing in the Paradise Village Marina. It was amazing. I have never been before, and by the end of the day I thought I was doing pretty good... we saw whales and dolphins while out. It is a wonderful experience I would suggest anyone do at least once.
Splurge Art Gallery is a great place to find art by international artists and also emerging local artists. They have a great collection of designer Pewter and they are priced very reasonably. They are located in the Bucerias Art Walk plaza alongside A Broken Art, The Winged Iguana, A Peace of Art, and My Mexican Kitchen.
Every Thursday there is either an art walk (with complimentary sangria and Tamales) or a vernissage for an artist. Thursdays at the Art Walk Plaza has kind of become a local place to meet the locals and enjoy some tasty treats. On occasion, My Mexican Kitchen will have a tasting of what they make in their cooking classes, which is another great activity to do.
This is a great beach in the PV area. It is perfect if you are learning, or want to learn, how to surf. The waves are easy and the people are friendly. Also, they have plenty of places to rent equipment
The town of Bucerias was a short distance away (10 minute walk). Walk along to Bucerias if you want to get some souvenirs -
We found the souveneirs to be cheaper than Vallarta itself, but we also didn't want to barter with them as it seemed .
Good thing to note is that there is a time difference, despite being so close - Bucerias is 1 hour behind the hotel, so don't head down there early on a Sunday morning!
